Logan woman dies in single vehicle accident

Kwintse Marley, 19, of Logan, Utah. ISP reports she was killed Wednesday night, April 3, 2014, in a single vehicle accident south of Preston, Idaho.

LOGAN — A 19-year-old Logan woman was killed Wednesday night in a single vehicle accident near Cub River, Idaho.

Idaho State Police report Kwintse Marley was driving a 2006 Ford Focus west bound on Cub River Road, around 11:04 p.m. Near 3200 East the vehicle left the roadway, rolled over an embankment and came to a rest in a canal.

ISP said Marley was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kolton Bird of Logan was a passenger in the vehicle. The 21-year-old was transported by ground ambulance to Franklin County Medical Center.

ISP said they are unsure why the vehicle left the roadway. The accident is under investigation.

According to Marley’s Facebook page, she was originally from Preston. She graduated from Preston High School in 2012.
