USU’s ‘Cache Valley Science Kids’ page offers one-stop shop for science and opportunity for science ed opportunities

LOGAN – Are you seeking information about science and math activities, summer camps and other resources for your child? Utah State University’s College of Science now offers a ‘one-stop shop’ with information about educational opportunities offered in Cache Valley through USU and community partners on the Facebook page, “Cache Valley Science Kids.”

“We often receive calls from parents and educators asking about science outreach opportunities for kids,” says Mary-Ann Muffoletto, public relations specialist for USU’s College of Science. “Our Facebook page offers a convenient list and frequent reminders. We invite everyone to ‘like’ our page and enjoy our updates and tips.”

The site lists activities, including the college’s popular Science Unwrapped series, public observatory viewing nights, campus museum events and more, targeted to preschoolers through teens.

“These are ideal activities for families, scouts and other groups and many of them are free,” Muffoletto says.

The College of Science also posts a list of science outreach opportunities at www.usu.edu/science under the heading “Public Science Outreach.”
