Democratic Congressional candidate Donna McAleer says she feels good about the way her campaign to replace Republican First District Congressman Rob Bishop is going. On KVNU’s For the People program Friday, the Democrat said she says this after talking to many people from all walks of life.
“I am also working with several other Congressional candidates from places around the country,” McAleer said. “So we are establishing relationships now, working together for the common good, not just party ideology, not just gridlock and obstructionism.
“We as a people need to hold our legislators accountable but we continue to send them back over and over.”
McAleer faces a June primary election against fellow Democratic congressional candidate Dr. Peter Clements.
