LOGAN — Cache County Sheriff’s deputies have been looking for a prowler, reported to be seen around neighborhoods in River Heights.

Lt. Mike Peterson said during the past week, deputies have received several calls from citizens about a single male individual, seen driving an SUV around the area.

“He is described as an older male with gray hair and a ponytail,” said Peterson. “He was driving a blue and silver colored Chevy Suburban.”

Deputies have been patrolling the neighborhoods in both marked and unmarked vehicles. So far they have not found anyone matching the suspect’s description. There are no reports of the man talking with anyone, especially children.

Peterson said if people see someone suspicious, call police dispatch and do not try to make contact with the individual.

“I would suggest if they can get a license plate number or something that helps us correlate that with an individual, that’s great,” said Peterson. We certainly don’t expect anybody to make contact with them. We would prefer that we do that.”

Peterson said they don’t believe anyone is in immediate danger.
