Annual yard sale raises funds for cats and dogs

With spring cleaning just around the corner, local residents are encouraged to gather up gently-used items and help generate funds for cats and dogs.

Shannon Syrstad of Four Paws Rescue says Four Paws is hosting its 9th annual yard sale on Saturday, June 14. It will be held at 855 West 600 South in Logan between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Syrstad says volunteers for the fundraiser would be appreciated.

So where does the money that comes in from the fundraiser go?

“Well, 100% of the proceeds go to pay for pet food or any medical bills with our local vets,” Syrstad explains. “Our director uses several of the local vets in the valley for procedures and medicine.

“It costs about $1500-$2000 a month just to pay for pet food in our system. So any money that is generated will be divvied between those two expenses.”
