Man injured while working on Hyrum water system

LOGAN — A construction accident Wednesday afternoon in Hyrum, sent a 32-year-old man to the hospital.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Peterson said Camron Harper and 29-year-old Tyson Kotter were working together when Harper was pinned between two trucks. He sustained injuries to his shoulder and was transported to Logan Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Peterson said Harper was operating a pipe truck and Kotter was driving a water truck. Harper was out of his truck, retrieving a pipe from the back of his truck when Kotter’s truck lurched forward.

Kotter told investigators his foot slipped off the clutch, causing his truck to move, pinning Harper.

Both men are employed by Kotter and Sons and were working on the Hyrum City canal and sewer system.
