Muddy obstacle course is a fun, and dirty, way to raise funds

Participants say Man vs Mud brings fun to the next level and the 2014 Man vs Mud 5K challenge is filled with awesome obstacles. The mud run  and obstacle course includes hills, obstacles, river crossings, muddy trails, tunnel crawls, a giant slide and the final thick, mucky mud pit on Saturday at the American West Heritage Center.

The race is non-competitive and non-timed. It is all about having fun and the proceeds help the American West Heritage Center were it will be held. Some visitor parking is available and visitors are welcome.

Kids vs Mud accompanies the race and planners say it will be better than ever. The Kids vs Mud course at the American West Heritage Center is paired down from what the adults and teenagers will go through, but will give kids the chance to slide, slip, climb and dip through the funniest obstacle course they have ever seen.

The Kids vs Mud event is a fundraiser for the Child and Family Support Center. The ages involved are 3 through 9.
