It started in 1904 as a day-off from the harvest and time to celebrate “an abundance of the best peaches in Utah.” Peach Days soon became a tradition in Brigham City and the event opens Wednesday with the Junior Peach Queen Pageant and continues Thursday with the Miss Brigham City Pageant.
Among the Friday events are a flower show, Junior Parade at 6 p.m., softball tournament, Classic Car Fun Run, a pie eating contest and Kevin McGaha Band on the Main Street Stage at 7 p.m.
Saturday is the big day with a fire department breakfast, 10-K 6.2 mile road race, a one-mile race for children 6th through 8th grades and the Peach Days Parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street. There is also a flower show, a Bonneville Rod and Custom Car Club show, Melodrama and talented performers on the Main Street Stage.
The entertainment ends with a Shawn Paulsen Hypnotist show at 9 p.m. For a complete schedule of events in Brigham City, click here.
