Dave and Danelle said this year’s festival includes a special guest, Dan “Cool Hand Uke” Scanlan, and there will be special performances by J.E.D., Meikjn Fielding, Emily Susan Pack, Aubery and Julia, UFO HUM Trio, Steven Butler and Selja Sini.

”I look at this as something I enjoyed when I was a kid. It was always kind of like this free, makes me feel good and you want to share it with everybody. That was one of the big reasons why we wanted to do this festival. It gets it out and spreads that aloha spirit. It gets people who you wouldn’t really think of to think ‘ooh, I need to go out and learn how to play a new instrument.’ But it’s really contagious.
There will be open mic competition with prizes provided by KSM Music and free classes will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for both beginners and advanced.
Danelle said with only four strings the Ukulele is pretty easy to play. Everyone is invited to the festival, it’s free of charge ad more information is available at www.utahukefest.com.
