This is the day the November election will be officially over. Although November 4th was election day Cache County Clerk Jill Zollinger says there were still provisional ballots and all ballots mailed since then, but with an appropriate postmark, will be counted.
Could that possibly change any of the election results? Zollinger says it’s hard to tell but there was one school board race that you could say was “too close to call.” In Cache County’s District 4 incumbent Jon Jenkins had 645 votes on election day and his challenger Randall Bagley received five votes more for a total of 650.
For State School Board in District 1 Teryl Warner was the winner over David Clark in Cache County. However, after votes were counted in the other counties which are part of the district Clark was the winner by 50-plus votes.
Zollinger says the election results should be released early Tuesday afternoon.
