There are exceptions to personal snow removal in Logan

Logan Mayor Craig Petersen has a reminder for residents of the city. Everyone is responsible for their own snow removal.

On KVNU’s Let Me Speak to the Mayor program last week, however, he said there are exceptions.

“When we did the neighborhood meetings we had a couple people say, ‘I’m older, I have some health problems, and I can’t get the snow off my sidewalk,'” Petersen said. “We actually have a program that is set up with the Cache Volunteer Association that if people can’t get the snow off their sidewalks we’ll come and help them.”

The mayor said, long term, the city would be helping them out. But for short term needs, volunteers would be used.
