Cache GOP hoping for positive changes on national political scene

Republicans hold every elected office in Cache County and most of those throughout the state of Utah as well. Now the November election means, nationally, Republicans not only have the majority in the House but in the Senate, too.

Cache County Republican Party Secretary Gina Worthen said she feels there will be positive changes and she hopes Obamacare (also known as the Affordable Care Act) will be repealed.

”I’m hoping that they will steer us more in a general direction,” said Worthen, “of more local government and less federal government mandating to states what we need to do.”

Asked what she sees as differences between Republicans and Democrats Worthen said most Republicans believe in smaller government, less expensive government, and they are strong supporters of the Second Amendment.
