Nibley to hold public hearing regarding raises for city officials

NIBLEY – A public hearing will take place to review the salaries of Nibley Mayor Shaun Dustin and the council members on Thursday January 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nibley City Hall.

Currently, Nibley’s mayor receives $600 and each council member receives $300 each month. The mayor’s proposed salary is $1,000, a $400 increase. According to Nibley City Manager David Zook, no amount has been proposed for the salaries of the council members.

According to a memo posted by the Nibley City Council, everyone interested will have the opportunity to voice their opinions at the hearing. Zook said a final decision on the salaries will not be made that day.
