Barbara Jo Lamb

Barbara Jo (Jody) Lamb, Died Jan 13, 2015 at the Logan Regional Hospital from injuries she sustained from an accident.

She was the third of eight children born Sept 9, 1935 to Bobbie Alexander Copeland and Jimmie Sylvester Hamilton, of Wichata Falls Texas.

Her family moved to Hyde Park where she met and married the love of her life, Max Suel Lamb, in Brigham City, Utah. From that time forward they were always know as Max and Jody, and now Papa and Meme. Never just one is mentioned or talked about individually. Later Max and Jody were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They have been married for almost 62 years. Together they raised four Children.

She was very proud of her college degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University. She spent many years as teacher in Ogden. Jody was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in all auxiliaries. She worked at Beehive Clothing and she was a Officiator in the Logan LDS Temple, and worked in the special needs Seminary. She and Max served an honorable mission in the Indiana, Indianapolis mission, where she made many fond memories and friendships that she cherished the remainder of her life.

Jody never complained or let her arthritis slow her down or limit her. She served many friends, neighbors and family.

Jody’s greatest love and achievement is her family, which consists of a posterity of almost 100 people.

Jody is survived by her husband Max. Son Stephen (Dawn) Lamb, Daughters Gloria (Tim) Gordon, and Brenda (Bruce) Dana. She was proceeded in death by her son Michael, and her parents, parents in law, Two Great Grand Children, and her sister Mary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 17, 2015 at 10 AM in the Hyde Park LDS 9th Ward Chapel. 65 East Center, Hyde Park. With a viewing prior to the services on Friday evening from 5 PM to 7PM and the day of the service from 9am to 9:45 am at the same location. Interment will follow the services in the Hyde Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Condolence and memories can be shared with the family at “Meme we love and miss you!”
