LOGAN — Emergency crews were called to the sinks area of Logan Canyon after a snowmobiler rode his sled into a sinkhole, Sunday afternoon.
Other snowmobilers were able to pull the injured man from the sinkhole and call for help. They reported the man was conscious but had difficulty breathing.
Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Locke said Search and Rescue crews were paged to the accident and later cancelled, after the man was transported, by personal vehicle to a hospital in Rich County. He was later transported to Logan Regional Hospital by ambulance.
Locke said he believed the man suffered several broken ribs and internal injuries but was going to recover.
