Vehicle rollover injures five college students

A vehicle rollover Friday night north of Tremonton, sent five college students to the hospital, two in serious condition.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers report a silver Nissan Pathfinder was driving southbound on Interstate-15 when the rear driver’s side tire blew out, near milepost 383.

The Nissan hit a guardrail and then traveled down an embankment, rolling multiple times.

Troopers said two passengers were not wearing their seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.  They were flown by medical helicopter to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden.

The driver and two other passengers were wearing seatbelts and sustained minor injuries.  They were transported to Bear River Valley Hospital by ambulance.

Troopers said the five students attend Brigham Young University Idaho and were travelling to Provo.
