Champions for Change is the theme for the United Way of Cache Valley’s annual Cache Valley Fundraising Dinner and exective director Doug Stevenson says it’s not too early to make reservations.

He says here is also an opportunity to be a sponsor or make one or more donations to the silent live auction.

Stevenson says the fundraiser will be held on Thursday, May 21 in the Utah State University Taggart Student Center Ballroom. He says this year’s guest speaker will be coaching legend LaVell Edwards.

Money raised from the event will help support programs offered by United Way’s 19 different partnering agencies.

“What we do on a daily basis is try to reach out to businesses in our community to allow their employees to work with us on a payroll deduction plan,” Stevenson explains, “that helps to donate on an easy way to local, human service, non-profit organizations in the valley like the food pantry, the Child and Family Support Center or the English Language Center. We have 19 that we work with all through the year.”
