The recent rain may be welcomed for many reasons. However, Logan Mayor Craig Petersen told the city council Tuesday that the rain has played havoc with some of the city’s planned summer construction projects.
“We had hoped that the intersection at 600 East and 1000 North would be finished by the first of June,” Petersen explained. “That is not going to happen because we just haven’t been able to proceed. It will certainly be finished by the first of July, hopefully before that.
“Two other projects, the gateway sign and the landscape at the Y on south Main, have had similar types of concerns because of the weather.”
The mayor said, however, that substantial progress has been made on the new trail being constructed from Icon to Trapper Park. He added that he had a look at that project on Tuesday and, in his words, “it’s going to be a wonderful trail.”
