Croquet tournament features fun, music and entertainment

The Sunshine Terrace Foundation is holding its inaugural Sunshine Swing Croquet and Lawn Party on Saturday, June 13th. The Foundation’s new director and CEO Bryan Erickson says the event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the old Crookston Homestead, 1491 East 2300 North in North Logan.

“This croquet tournament is a fundraising event. It is our first annual croquet tournament,” says Erickson. “We’re so excited about it. It’s going to be held in a beautiful location.”

Erickson says the event is for everyone and people will have a chance to do more than just play croquet.

“It’s going to be a lawn party, play croquet; anybody can play croquet,” he continues. “It will be a fun event and we look forward to making it an annual event in the future.”

Erickson says teams of six players will compete in lightning round play where the fastest team to complete all the courses wins. There will also be prizes for best hat, best costume and more.

Entertaining at the lawn party will be the All That Jazz Quintet, My Three Sons and magic by deceptionist Richard Hatch. For more information call Alta Markeson at (435) 535-5296.
