Logan City has done what Mayor Craig Petersen says thousands of cities have done, and that is outsourced its website. The mayor told members of the city council last week he feels it is a good decision.
“Jeff Compton, our IT manager, and Rich (Anderson) did a very, very comprehensive (search),” Petersen said. “They looked at different firms and selected a firm called Revise. They are in Troy, Michigan.
“They have about 800 websites that they have currently developed and maintain. We just signed the contract with them. We are going to go that direction.
The mayor said there are numerous advantages: it provides a more professional website, it is easier to change when that is needed and he said the city will spend less over five years going this direction than would have been spent in a single year with a local webmaster.
