The decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that same-sex marriages are constitutional came as no surprise to Vince Wickwar, chairman of the Cache County Democratic Party.
Wickwar says he feels that the ruling was inevitable.
“It’s been happening in state after state, with a few states objecting and passing laws to the contrary,” Wickwar says. “But that would make life for people extremely difficult.
“You get married in one state and for whatever reason move to another that does not allow it, that’s going to create chaos.”
Wickwar says there are still issues that need to be resolved, such as how benefits are handled.
