Cache GOP chair does not expect to see Trump win

Although he is chairman of the Cache County Republican Party, Boyd Pugmire says he can see why Donald Trump has been having so much momentum. He says there are a lot of angry people out there who don’t like what’s going on in the country and they feel like Trump understands that.

Pugmire says he does not expect Trump to be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee.

“I think after the debates that some of the things he says will rub people wrong,” says Pugmire. “I don’t think he’ll be the nominee.

“But I am concerned about the threats he’s making as running as an independent if they party does not give him the nomination.”

Pugmire says if that happened we would have a situation like we did in 1992 when Ross Perot ran on a third party ticket and that helped Bill Clinton win the presidential election.
