Mother charged with DUI after vehicle rolls with 2 kids inside

A 29-year-old Brigham City mother has been charged with driving under the influence after rolling her car on I-15 with two children inside.

Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Perry said the woman was traveling southbound Friday night when she swerved to the right. The vehicle went off the right shoulder, rolling twice before hitting a concrete wall.

The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was later flown to Ogden Regional Medical Center by helicopter. Two children, a seven-year-old boy and two-year-old girl, were also inside the vehicle. The girl was ejected during the crash. Both were transported to a Brigham City hospital with no major injuries.

Perry said the woman sustained minor injuries and was booked into the Box Elder County Jail on a charge of DUI and improper lane travel.
