Police: Man tries to lure kids into car in Tremonton, saying he has candy


TREMONTON, Utah (AP) — Police are looking for a man who went to an elementary school in northern Utah and tried to lure children into his car, saying he had candy.

KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1OZQffg ) that Tremonton police say they went to North Park Elementary school on Thursday to investigate complaints about the man.

Officials say he was described as an older male wearing a hat and driving a silver or gray four-door vehicle with writing on the windows and possibly the doors. Some students said the writing said “candy.”

Police remained at the school during breaks and when school was let out for the day.
