Six people have filed for the three open seats on the North Logan City Council and that is the only office up for grabs in the November 3rd election. Three of the candidates are current members of the council whose terms are expiring this year: Damon Cann, Christen Godfrey Anderson and Roger Anderson. Other candidates in the race are Bruce Lee, Brad Chrookston and Gordon Younker.
For the city of Smithfield, this year’s election will be what City Recorder Justin Lewis calls, “normal.” He says six people have filed for the three open seats and only one is an incumbent, Jeffrey Barnes.
The other candidates are Jeffrey Gittins, Pete Krusi, Dion Hunsaker, Wade Campbell and Curtis Wall. Lewis says early voting will begin on October 19th and continue through October 30th. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
Three of the five candidates running for seats on the Richmond City Council are already holding council seats. They are Jeff Young, Tucker Thatcher and Paul Erickson. There are also two other candidates: Justin Gilbert and Cori Lundgreen. Two people will be eliminated in the November 3rd municipal election.
Three members of the Lewiston City Council have terms expiring this year and all three are running for another four-year term in the November 3rd election. The incumbent councilmembers are Fizz Bodily, Stacy Prescott and Jeff Hall. They are being challenged by Jonna Westover, Bret Whittier and Michael May.
