The World Congress of Families will gather at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City from October 27 through October 30 and anyone interested is invited to attend. It is described as the premier global gathering of parents, youth, lawmakers, scholars, religious leaders and others who are encouraging and celebrating the natural family.
Shelley Locke, a Cache Valley resident, has been active in the organization since she was invited to speak at one of their meetings as the Young Mother of the Year in 2007.
Locke will be speaking at the Salt Lake City event on Thursday, October 29 at 1:45 p.m.
“We’ll be showing the international documentary on the vital role of mothers, the first-ever of its kind,” says Locke. “We’ll have three speeches and a musical number. It is going to be a lovely presentation on how important mothers are and motherhood is to the world.”
Day passes are $30 and more information is available on the Congress of Families website wvcf9.org
