Six candidates are seeking three open seats on the Tremonton City Council this year. Two of those six candidates are incumbents (Jeff Reese and Diana Doutre). The other candidates vying for spots on the city council are Nate Wright, Jim Abel, Bryce Rigby and Lyle Vance.
Residents of Tremonton, and Box Elder County overall, will also be asked to cast a vote on Proposition 1, a ballot measure in 17 counties throughout the state of Utah. Proposition 1 gives cities, counties and transit providers a quarter-cent in sales tax (except on food) to use for local transportation.
Voting will be conducted on Tuesday, November 3 at the Tremonton Senior Center located at 510 West 1000 North in Tremonton. Early voting is also taking place and that is available through Friday, October 30th at the Box Elder County Courthouse located at 01 South Main in Brigham City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Another opportunity for early voting in Tremonton will be on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Tremonton Senior Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
