Local ski resorts will open Monday

LOGAN — Local skiers and snowboarders will soon be able to hit the slopes at Beaver Mountain and Cherry Peak. Ski Utah reports both resorts will open Monday, December 21. Both resorts have been waiting for additional storms to build up their snow base.

With Monday’s openings, Ski Utah reports all of the resorts in the state will be open for the season.

For Beaver Mountain, Monday will be the beginning of their 76th year of operation, east of Cache Valley in Logan Canyon.

Cherry Peak is opening for its first season, east of Richmond. The resort struggled last year to receive enough snow and complete construction in time to open.
