It was their first one-on-one debate and Democratic presidential candidates Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders each claimed to be the best choice as they debated and tackled such issues as health care and income equality Thursday on MSNBC.
Danny Beus, treasurer and Latino outreach director for the Cache County Democratic Party, thought they both did very well.
“It got a little chippy,” Beus said. “Like Bernie Sanders said at that end of the debate, our candidates on our worst days are better than the Republican candidates for president. So I thought it was a pretty good debate.”
Bues said he did not feel Hillary’s performance was good enough to help her come out on top in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary election.
