Following the recent announcement that Logan High Principal Shane Ogden would be resigning, the Logan City School District is hosting a Patron Input Meeting Wednesday night from 6-7 p.m.
District Superintendent Frank Schofield says the intent of the meeting is to get feedback from parents of current Logan High School students about the characteristics and background they would like to see in the new principal.
All parents of current Logan High students are invited to attend. A separate meeting will be held for teachers and staff of Logan High School.
Wednesday’s meeting will be held at the district offices at 101 West Center Street in the Board Room.
Ogden has been the principal of the school since 2012 but announced his resignation on Monday, February 1st. While his resignation will take effect on June 30, the district is hoping to have his replacement named by the end of March.
Schofield says a small group of parents, representing a cross section of the current Logan High community, will be invited to participate in the upcoming interview process. He says it will involve a full-day commitment on March 9th. If any parents are interested in participating, Schofield invites them to contact Stacey Hunter at the District office.
