New Children’s Justice Center Director introduced

LOGAN – Mike Stauffer gave his final report to the Cache County Council as the director of the Cache County Children’s Justice Center Tuesday night. After 10 years at the center Stauffer, who previously served as a Cache County Deputy Sherriff, is retiring.

Joan Liquin, who currently works as a victims advocate in the County Attorney’s Office, was introduced by Stauffer as his successor.

“Before that I was at Logan Police Department for five years as a project coordinator,” Liquin said. “Before that I was in state government, I guess, because I was at Utah State University as a program coordinator for about five years as well. I have a degree from Weber State University and I have three boys.”

She said she is looking forward to the new job, but said she feels Stauffer’s shoes will be hard to fill.
