Police arrest man accused of shooting at his brother during a fight

LOGAN — Police have arrested a 43-year-old Logan man accused of shooting at his brother during a fight, Thursday afternoon.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said Kevin Harrison and the victim were reportedly fighting inside a home at 33 North 500 West around 1:00 p.m. At one point, the argument escalated and Harrison brandished a handgun, firing it in the direction of his brother.

No one was hit or injured.

The victim called 911 and officers responded to the home, taking both men into custody for questioning. A search warrant was also obtained, so detectives could enter the home and collect evidence.

Jensen said initially it appeared to be a case of aggravated assault. He also suspected that both men may have been intoxicated at the time of the fight.

Harrision was later booked into the Cache County Jail. Formal charges are pending the completion of an investigation.
