Utah State returns 13 starters (O-10, D-3) as part of 40 letterwinners (O-22, D-15, S-3) from last year’s team that finished tied for second in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West with a 5-3 record and played in its school-record fifth-straight bowl game against Akron in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Along with the players mentioned above, Utah State also returns four other starters on offense in senior tight end Wyatt Houston, senior running back Devante Mays, junior running back LaJuan Hunt and junior wide receiver Braelon Roberts, along with Rodriguez at wide receiver.
