Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has taken Idaho’s Republican Primary, beating out Donald Trump by a wide margin.
Franklin County Clerk Shauna Geddes, says it was a fun experience to part of the whole presidential preference process.
She says Cruz came in first in Franklin County with 51% of the vote. Marco Rubio was second with 21% and Trump came in last with 17%.
“Franklin County was very happy to be part of the state of Idaho with the Republican Primary. Now in March it feels like we can be a player, now. The turnout was good and things went well.”
Geddes says in addition to the presidential vote, members of the West Side School District approved a $90,000 levy to help finance schools, which comes up on an annual basis.
