Casey Saxton excited for opportunity to run for Cache County Council

If he is elected a as a member of the Cache County Council in Logan’s Seat #1, Casey Saxton feels he will bring a new perspective to the council. He is younger than other members but Saxton says he’s had a keen interest in politics and government for a long time.

He was president of Utah State University Republicans and vice chairman of the state organization.

“In this last year, as I served as the Student Advocate Vice President at USU, I was super involved and I was the chair of our Government Relations Council,” says Saxton. “That kind of gave me a fresh perspective, maybe a less partisan perspective, of government relations and the work that the government does and how it can affect our lives.

“Government service is really important and it requires someone with steady judgement and a desire to serve and make a difference.”

Saxton is employed as a marketing project manager for USU-Extension and he is also working on a Masters in Business Administration degree. The candidate says he is excited about meeting all the delegates at the Cache County Republican convention.

Karl Ward has also filed for the seat which longtime councilmember Cory Yeates is leaving.
