Workshop to be held for all Cache County residents interested in new solar discount program

LOGAN – The Cache Clean Air Consortium launched the Cache Solar Discount Program, a bulk purchase program for all Cache County residents in order to facilitate a clear and straightforward process for citizens to obtain discounted pricing for residential solar installations by combining purchases. Emily Malik, Logan City’s conservation coordinator said that due to the success of the program it has been extended for another year.

Malik said the Cache County Solar Discount Program is hosting a solar workshop on Thursday April 21st at the Logan City Hall.

“Residents can come and learn about the program,” she said. “What they can expect out of the program, some of the costs they can expect for installing solar on their homes, maybe some challenges they might experience with putting solar on their homes.

“Really it’s just a great opportunity for all residents to come down and this is open to all residents of Cache County to come to Logan City Hall and hear about installing solar on your home through this program.”

Malik said anyone wanting more information about the workshop or about the solar program can call 716-9755.
