Sara Palin, the vice presidential candidate on the Republican party ticket in 2008, is harshly criticizing House Speaker Paul Ryan for withholding his support from presumptive Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump.
She says it could foul up Ryan’s chances for the 2020 presidential nomination.
Cache County Republican Party Chairman Boyd Pugmire takes issue with Palin’s comment.
“Congressman Ryan as Speaker of the House has a responsibility that goes a lot deeper than a presidential candidate,” Pugmire exclaims. “He needs to unify the party, that doesn’t just mean satisfying Donald Trump.
“He needs to work on unification of the party as a whole. I think Donald Trump needs to come forward and earn that endorsement from all those people who can’t endorse him.”
Pugmire says there are millions of people in the country who have not endorsed Trump for president. He says he wants to see a president who will work with all sides, one who is a president for all of America.
