With a theme of “Be Safe, Be Seen”, the second annual Randy Wirth Half Century Ride will be held this Saturday, May 21st starting at the Caffe Ibis in downtown Logan. The bike tour will again showcase favorite Cache Valley rides of the late, long-time Logan businessman, roastmaster and conservationist, Randy Wirth, who with his wife Sally Sears was co-owner of Caffe Ibis in downtown Logan. Sally says the ride will start and finish at Caffe Ibis.
“It’s the first ride of the year. So other rides and races are using this as a training ride. You can go 50 miles or you can go 25 miles and it showcases some of our favorite rides over 42 years in the valley….it’s such a beautiful time of year and it’s National Bike Month,” said Sears.
On KVNU’s For the People program on Thursday, Sears said the ride begins at 10 a.m. and when it’s over, everyone participating is invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch and live music. You can register at RandyWirthHCR.org
