Lecture series under the trees begins this Sunday at USU

Grove of trees on the south-west side of Old Main Hill.  

The first in a series of “Sunday Under the Trees” lectures is scheduled to begin Sunday, June 5 at Utah State University above the amphitheater on Old Main Hill.

Sunday’s featured speaker will be Wayne McKay, director of the Cache Valley Storytelling Festival. Each lecture begins at 1 p.m. Sundays from June 5 through July 24.

Speakers for the following weeks are Michael Ballam (Executive Director of Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre), Dr. Mike McKee (head of Utah Water Research Lab), Dr. Alexis Ault (Assistant Professor of Geology at USU), Norm Nelson (curator of the Brigham City Train Depot Museum), Dr. Randy Lewis (director of the USTAR Spider Silk Lab), Mark Weadick (fur trapper), and Dr. Ross Peterson (Assistant to the USU President and History Professor at USU).

The amphitheater is located south of Old Main and those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
