GARDEN CITY – The Bear Lake Parade of Homes will run two more days this weekend before finishing its 11th year. The event, which started May 27th and is put on by the Bear Lake Home Builders Association (BLHBA), will showcase homes Friday June 3rd and Saturday June 4th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
BLBHA Executive Officer Natalie Hirschi said this year’s event features fewer homes, but she believes it is the best showing they’ve had. Of the seven homes featured, four are on the waterfront and three sit in the mountains.
“One of the beachfront homes is 1,800 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths,” she said. “It’s just a very quaint little cottage-style home. They have taken advantage of their outdoor living and being right there on the beach. Then we’ve got a home with 10,000 square feet, 13 bedrooms and 10 baths and is just an incredible home with the way they’ve designed it to look like the inside of a mine, and you’ve got the views of a lake that are comparable to nothing else.”
Hirschi said it is worth it for Cache Valley residents to make the drive to check it out.
“You can’t beat the entertainment,” she said. “Having a nice raspberry shake and coming over here in the mountain air and seeing the beautiful lake with these amazing homes. It’s definitely worth the drive.”
Tickets for the event are $10.
