2016 Lyric Repertory season opens with Arsenic and Old Lace

The Lyric Repertory Company opens its 2016 season on Thursday, June 9 and in addition to their four productions they will also be providing an option of dining with the actors, directors and designers at the Riverwoods Conference Center prior to curtain.

Co-director Dennis Hassan of the Utah State University Theater Department says the season opener is the classic comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

“A favorite. Two wonderful old ladies who like to invite people in, make them comfortable, offer them a little bit of wine and are also a little crazy in the same process. A very famous movie but a wonderful production, a wonderful play and we have some wonderful actors coming to for that.”

The show will alternate with three other productions: “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery”, “Singin’ in the Rain”, and “You Can’t Take it With You.”

Hassan said tickets and information are available at the Caine Lyric Theatre located at 28 West Center in historic downtown Logan.
