Talking trash about Logan City

It’s the last in the “Green Futures Learning Series” sponsored by Logan’s Environmental Department. Conservation Coordinator Emily Malik says the topic on Wednesday, June 15 will be waste management in Cache County, or what she refers to as “Talking Trash.”

The session starts at 6 p.m. in the Logan City Hall public conference room. Malik plans to educate those who come about garbage, recycling, yard waste, composting and the landfill. She says people often have questions about recycling.

“Either what could or could not be recycled, or how things are processed, or just generally little tidbits about recycling,” says Malik. “Then also when we talk about the landfill I think people are surprised by how much garbage we get, how we handle it and how quickly it breaks down.”

The Green Futures event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
