A street dance to benefit a local animal rescue and adoption organization is scheduled for Saturday night outside Caffe Ibis in downtown Logan. It’s the 9th annual dance party to benefit Four Paws Animal Rescue and will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Hilary Murray was a guest on KVNU’s For the People program on Thursday and said there will be two great bands to shuffle your feet to.
“Blazin’ Aces is going to open and they’ll play the hits from classic rock era and the second is Regal Beagle and they’re a funk band full of music graduates from USU so it’s going to be really fun,” according to Murray.
She said many sponsors have donated to the silent auction.
“We have lots of stuff from gift certificates to places to eat to merchandise from stores. We have a couple of bike tunes that you can get, dog toys, beanies, jewelry, a membership to the Sports Academy. The list is really, really long. I think that you’ll find that there’s something for everyone here,” said Murray.
Shannon Syrstad of Four Paws also appeared on For the People and talked about the success of the animal rescue organization.
“We adopt out about 400 or so, cats and dogs annually and we have a huge online presence. We can show pets by appointment or we can show pets at our Saturday Layton or Logan PetSmart Adoption events. We rotate between each store,” said Syrstad.
