The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Saturday, September 10th and coordinator Amy Anderson says she hopes a lot of people will participate. She says those attending will meet at Willow Park near the Willow Park Zoo.
“The walk itself kicks off at 10 a.m. and then at 10:15 we’ll start walking,” Anderson says. “It’s a little less than a two mile walk so people can walk as much or as little of it as they want.
“But really the focus of it is to make sure people are aware that there are things that can be done to combat Alzheimer’s and other dimentias.”
Anderson says the Alzheimer’s Association develops its time and resources not only for Alzheimer’s research but also for caregiver support and other forms of education for all those impacted by the disease.
