It has been around a long time and Cache County Executive Craig Buttars said he is trying to decide if it is something that is still needed.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the Cache County Council, Buttars said he has been looking into the issue.

“I have met with our County Librarian Sherrie Mickelson to discuss the impact discontinuing the Bookmobile would have on the county and the county budget,” Buttars informed the council. “I’ve also had a request to meet with the state librarian and also the individual who is the driver of the Bookmobile.”

The Bookmobile is operated by the State of Utah. It was decided to wait until the next meeting to make a decision.
