Dancing to help rescue pets

It’s time again to put on your dancing shoes for Four Paws Rescues’ Moondog Ball which will be held Saturday night at the Logan Golf and Country Club. Whitney Schulte from Four Paws was our guest on KVNU’s For the People program on Thursday.

“It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, it’s actually the 16th Moondog Ball that we’ve had. It’s a big party up at the Logan Golf & Country Club. We’ve got a lot of live performances and food..just lots of fun”, said Schulte.

It all starts at 7p.m. with hors d’ oeuvres followed by dancing at 9pm. Dress is described as fashionably “dress to impress,” (an unofficial cross between very formal and not so formal). Entertainment is by the Joe McQueen Quartet, Allie Harris & Friends, Shimmering Sands Belly Dance, and The Raindogs. Schulte talked about the mission of Four Paws Rescue.

“So we are the only truly No-Kill rescue in the valley and we have dogs all over in Utah and from surrounding states. No matter what’s wrong with them..if they have an illness or if they need a surgery that costs thousands of dollars we’ll stick with them until everything is taken care of”,explained Schulte.

“Then we find them a good forever home. We’re very passionate about the dogs and cats and helping them all find homes and spaying and neutering and all that kind of thing”

Tickets are $60 and are available at Caffé Ibis, The Italian Place, and The Island Market and also online at moondog.eventbrite.com.
