LOGAN — Many people consider it the start of the skiing and snowboarding season. This weekend, Warren Miller’s new movie, “Here There & Everywhere,” premieres in Logan.
Gary Nate, who worked as a camera man for Miller years ago, said this year’s movie features a lot skiing, snowboarding, travel and some comedy.
“One of the interesting things is, we’ve got Warren [Miller] back in the film this year,” said Nate. We kind of parallel his beginnings, 67-years-ago when he spent the winter of 1948 in a little teardrop trailer, in Sun Valley.”
This year’s movie is being shown Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in the Mount Logan Middle School auditorium. Most of the shows are sold out but a few tickets remain at Al’s Sporting Goods.
Nate said this is Miller’s 67th annual film and will also pay a special tribute to several skiers.
“You know we lost a couple of ski giants this year. We lost Stein Eriksen last December, who was considered the grandfather of freestyle skiing. And then, kind of interesting, my cousin Dean Perkins, who was in Warren’s first file in 1950 just passed away in September.”
Tickets for this year’s movie are $20 and includes free lift tickets to Brighton, Solitude, Cherry Peak Resort and other discounts, plus a year subscription to Ski Magazine.
