Three-vehicle accident sends two people to the hospital

LOGAN — Police report two people were hospitalized Wednesday after a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of 1400 N. 1000 W.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said emergency responders had to extricate the two people from the crash. They were transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital with significant non-life threatening injuries.

All of the other vehicle occupants declined medical treatment.

Jensen said officers believe drowsy driving may be a cause of the accident but are investigating further. Citations are pending.

The accident occurred at 3:15 p.m. Traffic was partially diverted for over an hour while crews cleared the accident.
