2017 Winter Fun League begins at Cache Valley Public Shooting Range

The 2017 Winter Fun League at the Cache Valley Public Shooting Range begins on Jan. 12, inviting shooting enthusiasts of all ages to participate in a six-week series of target shooting games. The program costs $10 per week and is held at 5:00 p.m. every Thursday evening. Participants will shoot 50 targets during each session and should bring their own shells. Shotgun rentals are available for $3 each week.

The Winter Fun League is coordinated by J.R. Nostrom, a resident of Tremonton who is an assistant manager at the range.

“For anyone who wants to come and practice and participate, it’s a really fun event,” said Nostrom, “and we have a nice steak dinner at the end of it. The modified Lewis Class format that we use allows anyone to win, and it allows you to polish your skills with a shotgun. I’d encourage anyone who is interested to come down and enjoy the event.”

Based on the number of shooters who register, prizes are available each week. The 2017 Winter Fun League’s schedule is as follows:

Week 1: 16-yard Trap

Week 2: Trap Doubles

Week 3: Triple Trap (partnered)

Week 4: Wobble

Week 5: Flurry (partnered)

Week 6: Skeet

The Cache Valley Public Shooting Range is located at 2851 W. 200 N. in Logan. More information about the 2017 Winter Fun League is available at (435) 753-4600, ext. 21.
