Ridgeline’s Levani Damuni chooses Stanford over USU, others

Levani Damuni, the 6-foot-2, 230 pound linebacker from Ridgeline High announced his commitment to play football at Stanford, according to a Saturday night tweet from the Polynesian Bowl.

Damuni, who was entertaining offers from Division-I schools across the country, was considered by many to be the highest-rated recruit at his position in the state.

While playing both sides of the ball at Ridgeline High he led the team in tackles while racking up more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns as a running back.

He had entertained offers from Utah State, Utah, BYU, Boise State, Virginia, Vanderbilt and others.
